Soy candle care & helpful tips:
-
You may notice some “mushrooming” at the top of the wick, this is normal for all natural wicks, please trim off and discard this debris and trim wick to ¼” before re-lighting.
-
Soy candles are sensitive to temperature and light, in order to avoid color fading, melting or cracking; store Soy candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
-
Any spilled Soy wax is easily cleaned up with soapy hot water.
-
When burning multiple Soy candles, keep at least 2” apart in order to prevent uneven burning.
-
Use an electric candle warmer for our Soy Jar Candles and Soy Candle Tins in places where burning candles is not permitted.
-
Helpful hint – the larger the Soy candle the greater the scent throw. Example: a Soy votive is ideal for a bathroom or other small room whereas an 18 oz Soy Jar Candle will fragrance a large room or area.
Soy Jar Candles and Soy Candle Tins:
-
The first time you burn your Soy Jar Candle, burn candle until melt-pool fully reaches the edge of the container. A Soy candle “remembers” how far it pooled the first time; this is called a memory burn. If a Soy candle is not allowed to pool properly, you can get the “tunnel” effect where you are left with a lot wasted Soy wax on the sides of the container. Burn 1 hour for every inch in diameter after your first burning each time.
-
Always remember to keep your wick trimmed to 1/4" each time before you light your Soy Jar Candle, if you don't, the wick will get too long, the flame will smoke and fragrance burns of quickly.
-
If by accident the wick is trimmed too small, all is not lost. You can still enjoy the fragrance by placing your Soy Jar Candle or Soy Candle Tin on a candle warmer.
-
Use an electric candle warmer for our Soy Jar Candles and Soy Candle Tins in places where burning candles is not permitted.
-
Caution: Soy Candle Tins will get very hot when lit, place on heat resistant surface.
Soy Tealights:
-
Because of their small size we recommend that you use at least 2 or more Soy Tealights combined for achieving a desirable amount of fragrance.
-
We recommend that you use our clear cup Soy Tealights in well ventilated holders, rather then enclosed holders.
-
Do not use our scented Soy Tealights to heat Simmer Pots as the flame is not powerful enough for this purpose.
Soy Simmer Scent Squares:
-
We recommend you use our Soy Simmer Scent Squares in large open areas, this product will release high impact fragrance!
-
Simply remove “spent” Soy Simmer Scent wax by placing Simmer Pot in the freezer for approximately for 15 minutes and wax will “pop” right out.
Soy Votives:
- Soy Votives must be burned in a snug fitting holder as wax will liquefy, do not burn as free standing candles.
